I DON’T UNDERSTAND

I don’t understand
How could all this be unplanned
All I see around me could not be by chance
There is no way it is happenstance

How could life emerge from primordial goo?
To me it seems insane and hard to prove
Amino acids, RNA and DNA; what are they?
Things that came together to find a way?

Sorry, can’t believe it, absolutely not!
I cannot believe life emerging was just a lucky shot!
The beauty and complexity I see,
Had to be planned, if you ask me

My Father up in heaven, He created it all
He spoke the first Word that made it all
Every tree, cloud, flower and bird
Came into being by the power of His Word

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth
And all of creation was given birth
From the mountain top high, to the ocean deep
From the clouds in the sky, to the valley steep

To every living creature
He gave unique form and feature
To every bird He gave song and flight
All by the power of His might

When He had finished with all these things
Only one creation was left to come into being
He created man on the day before He rested
And placed them in the garden He created

So with all of this in mind
I am more inclined
To believe my heavenly Father
Than I am in evolutionary fodder
