SILVERY MOON

Silvery moon shining bright
Riding high; queen of night
A myriad stars in your wake
Gliding over sky of black
It alone with daylight gone
Is yours to reign until the dawn
Like a swan full of grace
Smiling beams from your face
You float across starry sky
An orb of radiance way up high
Your borrowed light of nighttimes run
Is given you of reflecting sun
Rounded globe of night time view
My wondering eyes gaze on you
Knowing in thoughts that came so soon
As I watch your flight silvery moon
To brighten this world like your run
I must reflect the light of God’s own Son
