Peace

PEACE

When the mighty winds blow
And they whip up the dark sea
In the storm of life I know
There is peace in it for me

For salvation is my lifeboat
Tossed on the mighty wave
But it will stay afloat
Because Jesus is there to save

When the billows are rising high
And the boat it seems to sink
Will I perish and die
There is no hope I think

I forget who stands at the bow
Have you so little faith in me?
He gently chides me now
As He looks calmly at the angry sea

To the wind He calls peace
To the raging waves be still
And all the storm is at cease
Calm and obedient to His will

I can see the shining sun
Sparkling on the placid sea
The raging storm now is done
And perfect peace is given to me

The world cannot give this peace
When the storm disrupts the calm
And oh my soul is now at ease
Anchored to the great I AM

Thanks to Jesus for making me whole
From the penalty of sin blessed release
And from time to eternity my redeemed soul
Will know His peace; perfect peace
