Cling to the Cross

Cling to the Cross

O sinner, come to the cross
and lay your burdens down.
You are weary and alone,
the world presses in on you.
The powers of this world do all they can,
to keep you blind and satisfied in sin.
But deep within you know it is a lie,
told by the Father of Lies.

Come, cling to the cross
Jesus is waiting there.
He calls to you, telling you
Come unto me and I will give you rest.
He came to die on a cross for you and I,
so great was His love for us
He bore all our sins on Calvary
and paid the price to set us free.
