The Beauty of Your Heart

THE BEAUTY OF YOUR HEART

To see the beauty You have given,
to know You made all this for a reason.
You allow those with eyes to see, and take part,
In the reflection of the love and beauty of Your heart.

Surely the psalmist was right when he says,
the heavens declare the glory of God. Always!
The mountains, oceans, trees and flowers,
add to Your praises with their splendour.

You made us in Your image, to live in this beauty.
We who should cherish what You have given so graciously,
but we have destroyed and corrupted Your creation
And You are ignored by so many generations.

The beauty and wonder of such great love,
You sent in the form of Your Son from above.
He came to give us love and new life,
to bring an end to jealousy and strife.

To show us the Way back to You,
to know again the love and mercy You imbue.
He came to die on Calvary’s tree,
came to die, for you and for me.

His sacrifice, so blameless and true.
If we accept, brings us back to You.
And we in turn are filled with great joy,
Able to lift our hearts in prayer and rejoice.

Such awesome, soul filling wonder,
Our praises and worship we lay on Your alter,
will fill our hearts and rise to You in gratefulness.
And shall be, ever and always, endless!
