WHEN SLEEP IS A STRANGER

Sleep is a stranger
When the mind is a whirl
With thoughts and fears
Of souls in peril

We pray for our families
Whom we love so dearly
We pray they'll find God
Open their eyes, see clearly

We pray for our friends
For whom we care so much
We pray they'll see Jesus
In a tender touch

We pray for the stranger
We see on the street
We pray they'll see Jesus
When our eyes they do meet

We pray for all those
Who are sick and dying
We ask the Lord
To help ease their crying

We pray for people everywhere
That they'll hear the Good News
We do our best to reach out
Before their souls they do lose

Jesus is the answer
Who'll take away the fears
He will save us if we let Him
And He'll wipe away the tears

These are some of the thoughts
That keep me awake
Praying for the lost
Before death their souls do take
