IN LOVING MEMORY OF MICHAEL

I have created a site in loving memory of my son Michael, he went home to be with
God on 14 Sept 2008. It will hopefully be  a place for families, friends and
caregivers who have special needs children or adults in their lives, to talk about
how they feel, ask questions, explore possibilities in interacting with them and how
to help them themselves. Or if you are a special "kid" yourself, all are welcome. I
would also like to include those who have experienced any kind of trauma in their
lives that has affected them, including abuse or injury. God loves all His children,
and Michael gave unconditional love to everyone. So any and all are welcome, it is
my hope you find love and understanding there. It will be a place for sharing,
share anything you have written, poetry, or even a photo. And if you have lost a
loved one, or took care of someone special you grew close to, I hope and pray you
find comfort there. God bless one and all!

This video was made for the service celebrating
Michael's life. The poem is mine, the pics and videos
are from myself and his nurses.
Michael loved the song Crimson Tide written by my
dear friend Colin Moffett, it was the only song that
would calm him down no matter what happened.
Michael and his nurse Susan enjoying some music and
Michael is using his voice with the help of a speech valve
attached to his trach.
This video is all about Michael, and why not? He was
just soooo cute and such a happy little boy.
Michael absolutely loved his special education teacher
Jackie, here they are playing with a little chick that his
nurse Jerry brought in as part of "school".
Michael loved speech therapy too, he just had to
make noises when he could and he especially loved
the attention.
Michael also loved the music therapy they had started,
music and his teacher, definitely motivated him.
This is video of our family picnic, it was the last
time he got to see his brothers, sister, neices,
nephews, aunts & uncles and cousins. He had a
blast.
